How to choose car seat covers
Seat covers look simple, but the right set depends on details most people only notice after they order. This guide walks through every decision in the order that matters.
Black Label Sport
Start with fit, not looks
The single biggest difference between seat covers that look factory-made and ones that look like an afterthought is fit. Seat shapes change between models, model years and even trims of the same vehicle. A base trim may have manual seats and a plain rear bench, while a higher trim of the same year has power controls, side bolsters, a fold-down armrest and a 60/40 split rear seat.
That is why custom-fit covers are made for your exact year, make, model and trim. If you are unsure which trim you have, check the badge on the tailgate or trunk, your registration documents, or the window sticker. Our vehicle pages list the trims and seat layouts we make covers for.
Not sure whether custom-fit is worth it? Read custom-fit vs universal seat covers.
Check your seat features
Before you order, take a minute to look at your seats and note the following. These are the details that decide how a cover is patterned.
- Side airbags. Look for an “Airbag” or “SRS” tag on the outer side of the front backrests. See are seat covers safe with side airbags?
- Heated or ventilated seats. Heated seats work through a cover; ventilated seats need material that lets air through. See seat covers for heated and ventilated seats.
- Rear seat layout. Solid bench, 60/40 or 40/20/40 split, fold-down centre armrest, cup holders.
- Headrests. Removable headrests, fixed headrests, or a centre rear headrest.
- Front armrests and leg extensions. Some seats have a built-in armrest or an adjustable thigh support.
When you order, our vehicle step asks about the options that vary for your model, and our pattern team confirms everything with you before production.
Decide how many rows you need
Most drivers cover every seat so the interior matches, but you can also start with the front seats. Our sets come in four options:
- 1st Row (Two Front Seats Only), from USD $299
- 2nd Row (Rear Seat Only), from USD $299
- 1st 2nd Rows (5 Seater), from USD $349
- 1st 2nd 3rd Rows (7 or 8 Seater), from USD $399
A 5-seater with a rear bench needs the “1st 2nd Rows” set. SUVs and minivans with a third row need the “1st 2nd 3rd Rows” set. Prices shown are current sale prices and may change.
Choose a design style
We offer 32 designs, which fall into four broad styles:
- Smooth panels for a clean, original-equipment look, such as Midnight Noir or Toffee Tan.
- Channel stitched for a classic tailored look, such as Cognac Classic or Racer Black.
- Diamond quilted for a premium, luxury feel, such as Stealth Diamond or Heritage Tan.
- Sport and two-tone with contrast inserts or accents, such as Black Label Sport or Arctic Edge.
For help matching a design to your interior, read how to choose a design, colours and stitching.
Keep the colours or make them yours
Every design can be ordered exactly as pictured, or you can choose your own main colour, insert colour and stitching from our 20-colour card at no extra cost. Stitching can be the same colour as the main colour for a subtle finish. Headrests are always made in the same colour and stitching as the rest of the seat, so the set looks consistent.
Colours can look slightly different from one screen to another, so expect a small variation between your screen and the finished covers.
Add embroidery if you want it
You can personalise the backrests with embroidered initials for USD $65 or your own logo for USD $85. Thread colour can match your stitching or be chosen from the colour card.
Know the timeline before you order
Every set is made to order, so it is worth planning ahead. Production starts once we have clear photos of your seats and have confirmed your order details. Standard production takes 5 to 9 weeks and priority production 3 to 6 weeks. Domestic delivery then takes 5 to 10 days, and international delivery 7 to 14 days.
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours for a full refund. After that the order enters production and cannot be cancelled.
